Overseer Grissom Bio...      

Overseer Cheryl Grissom is the Founder and Senior Pastor of True Destiny Christian Church, formerly known as the Powerhouse of Deliverance, in Raleigh, North Carolina.  She has been traveling across the nation since 1985 proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ to the masses. She is a graduate of North Carolina A&T State University, with a BA Degree in Speech and Theater Education.  Her life was drastically transformed by the vitality and ministry of her Spiritual Father the late Bishop J. H. Covington, Founder of the Power House of Deliverance organization.  

 

Over the past 30 years Overseer Cheryl Grissom has served faithfully in the Power House of Deliverance organization, and she is recognized as a Pioneer and Trail Blazer.  She was honored for being the first woman Pastor, birthed under the ministry of Bishop J. H. Covington, the first woman ordained an Elder, and in August of 2001 she was elevated as an Overseer.

 

Not only is Overseer Grissom making a positive impact in the Kingdom of God, she also serves her Community; through the More than Conquers addiction recovery program, and through her   dynamic prison ministry.  In May 2002, Raleigh’s Mayor and City Council appointed her to the Civil Service Commission. 

 

Overseer Cheryl Grissom is a cutting edge Prophetic Voice for the Body of Christ today.  This gifted Woman of God addresses critical issues affecting an individual’s social and spiritual development.  The central theme of her message is deliverance, destiny, and the discovery of one’s purpose and potential.
